Gardening Presentations

  2024 Program Offerings

Dear Gardening Friends,

Grey County Master Gardeners are excited to invite you to preview our 2024 season program offerings, available for booking now!  We offer presentations, advice clinics and demonstrations (often in combination) and are happy to contribute to your events.

GCMGs participate in numerous community events each year such as Farmers Markets, Grown in Grey and River District Blooms. Contact us to discuss your upcoming events and see how we can contribute.

We are always interested in hearing from you about topics of interest. If you have any suggestions, we would be delighted to discuss this with you.

Grey County Master Gardeners is a non-profit volunteer organization, and a donation of $100 is greatly appreciated to help cover our costs and to allow us to continue our community activities, such as community education and gardens, our free winter seminar, participation in community events, to name a few.

Please take this opportunity to book early to reserve the time and dates that work best for you!

Presentations:

Following on from the success of our 2023 series, we have refreshed and updated many of our 20+ available presentations and have added a new presentation on Growing Hydrangeas to our line-up. If there is a presentation topic you want but don’t see it listed, please reach out to us.

Advice Clinics:

Advice Clinics called ‘Ask a Master Gardener’ can be added to enhance your events. In these clinics, we offer a chance for your members to ask us just about anything they can think of – gardening related of course - and we promise to give our best practical scientifically based gardening advice.

Demonstrations:

New for 2024. After a successful pilot program we are now offering demonstrations and short workshop clinics. These can be run independently or as part of an overall presentation or advice clinic format. We are happy to discuss these further with you. Our demonstrations topics are increasing, however to date these include;

·      Native Plant Container Design and Planting

●       Tips for Seed Starting and Planting

●       Pruning and Plant Dividing
