Gardener in Residence Program

Gardener in Residece

Purpose

Why do this?

The Gardener in Residence program is intended to provide outreach for all members of the community on horticultural matters. The attendees do not need to belong to a gardening club. There is a general calendar theme for each month, but if you attend, you can ask any gardening question you'd like. We also try to include a practical activity for the attendees.

Partnership

Community teams at work

Our program takes place at libraries in Grey County one afternoon per month. This is possible thanks to the generosity of the library programming team. This program can stand on its own or be a part of a broader climate support initiative.

"It was a great success!."

"Thank you so much for an amazing first Gardener-in-Residence session here at the Meaford Public Library! It was a great success! Stephanie and Ann have been fantastic to work with, and our patrons were so interested and engaged in the topic and the speaker that they stayed for the presentation and entire drop-in Q&A session - a full 90 minutes!"

Ashley Trusler, Community Outreach Coordinator, Meaford Public Library.
